Cyril sadly passed away at home on 15th March 2009. It was sudden, even though expected at some stage, after being diagnosed with Lung Cancer in January 2008. He will be greatly missed by many, especially Laura and his two daughters.Cyril was extremely brave through the past 14 months, managing us and our feelings rather than worrying about himself. His doctor summed him up perfectly by saying 'I did used to enjoy the way Cyril would just come in, as if he were being treated for a sore throat - He had come to terms with his condition long before us all'.He made the most of what time he had left, making beautiful wooden bird tables, enjoyed playing on his Wii, getting us all to play on it, whilst he could!
